gender and generations
Background
To inform communication strategies and increase employee retention, my corporate client partnered with a data analytics firm to glean insights on how gender and generational differences may influence and shape the future of the workforce. Their collaboration resulted in a 100+ page data-filled report.
purpose
This partnership, while successful, provided a daunting amount of data and information regarding workplace trends. They needed someone to connect the dots and take the research to the next logical step by asking “so what?” and “what does this mean for business?”
methodology
I initially distilled the research from the initial study into key themes that would drive a playbook for future business narratives. These themes were then further evolved and supplemented with associated sub-themes that brought together the best of desk research, audience insights, culture and stats from the study.
results
Five key themes emerged: Stress & Collaboration, Gen Z & Communication, The War for Talent, Global Collaboration, and Men, Women & Teamwork. Each of these themes provided informative - and often surprising narratives - that fueled press releases and a breakfast press event for a new product launch.
